Mission With Orphans
Whybridge church has been a supporter of missions working with orphans both in the U.K and Worldwide for many years. We are not a big enough church to run our own orphan missions but we work closely with other mission to help with the spiritual and material needs of those left without families. We pray regularly for missions working with children, amongst which are Stand by Me, A.F.I.A (works with a poor community in Ethiopia),
We have also helped other works over the years.
We take our yearly harvest goods to a Mill Grove Children's home E18 1JB. We also send clothing and other goods to Falconer Home (Zambia). We have sent out Education books, equipment, shoes to the work of A.F.I.A in Ethiopia
In November 2008 Whybridge Church became the sponsor of a young boy now aged six through Stand by Me. His name is Than who lives in a Stand By Me home in Yankin Burma (Myanmar). We send monthly letters to Than and receive regular updates on his progress as well as photo's. We are blessed to have Than in our Christian family. We also support the work of Stand by Me in Burma with regular donations.
