Jesus Heals Many
¹⁴When Jesus came into Peter’s house, he saw Peter’s mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever. ¹⁵He touched her hand and the fever left her, and she got up and began to wait on him.
¹⁶When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick. ¹⁷This was to fulfil what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:
“He took up our infirmities
    and bore our diseases.”(Isaiah 53 v 4)

1.      Was it necessary for Jesus to touch the sick person was in order to heal her?

2.      Did Peter need to tell Jesus that his Mother-in-law was ill for Jesus to know she needed healing?

3.      How thorough was the healing to enable the lady to immediately get up and waiting on them?

4.      What do you understand by “demon possession”?

5.      Could the spirits withstand Jesus casting them out? Explain
